Volunteer Opportunities
A brief list of growing volunteer needs here at HYS:
- Volunteers can help in any of the following ways:
- Weekly at the Drop-Being available to serve kids, serving food, preparing meals, clean up, sorting clothes, sanitizing the tables and chairs, doing music or other arts wil the guests.
- Assisting on work or job sites, helping with overnight when the emergency shelter is open, helping with neighborhood clean up and security, working with the income generating opportunities of yard sales, work projects, the annual dinner auction and solicitations.
- The occasional need for a board member, administrative and clerical assistence and grant writing or other fund raising endeavors.
- Development and coordination of Job Readiness Programs such as the bike shop, the work exchange, the Kloz Store and Glass Store skill.

How Can You Get Involved?
We rely on volunteers for almost everything we do. Generally about 200 volunteers give about 2,000 hours a year to maintain the services provided. If you would like to get involved please download and print out our volunteer form. We have included a brief form below for immediate contact.
